Choff on Cherryleaf when I was on my first trip in 1963. Left her with promotion to Master and I think he went to a Fort boat in Singapore. A nice chap.

Hi RAB, Harry relived Barry Rutterford as choff on Tidepool either late 1963 or early 1964. Joe Dines was master through 63 and 64. Lovely gentle man. Harry that is.

Aye Dave. I learned a lot of the doe's and don'ts of RFA life from Harry Carr although he was Choff and me first trip sparks. Sadly he died a young man at the top of his career.
